We have updated our Point of Sale (POS) inventory control interface to allow for more formal stock tracking and reporting.

ADDING + SUBTRACTING STOCK COUNTS

Navigate to to Dashboard > Payments > Retail Configurations > POS inventory to see the new column labeled stock and the hyperlinked numbers that allows you to add or subtract stock values with 'Reason for stock change'.

To change an item from listing N/A for Stock Count you need to enable stock tracking within the product settings. This can be done by clicking the pencil icon to the right of the item you wish to edit > Navigate to the Variables tab at the top of the pop up window > Toggle ON the Track Stock function > Click Edit Product to apply changes.

HOW TO MAKE STOCK ADJUSTMENTS

Navigate back to POS Inventory. Click the hyperlinked numerical value next to the item you would like adjust stock for. The Stock Adjustment pop up window will appear. Here you will be presented with a list of reasons as to why stock levels need to either increase or decrease.

Stock Received, Restock Return will net a positive count towards your current stock number, whereas Damage, Theft, Loss and Transfer will net a negative count towards your current inventory levels. Note: You cannot subtract more than you have on hand as represented in the system.

Inventory Recount will reset and override the current stock count.

Select any one of the options and enter the value of stock you wish to add or subtract. Click Save

The system will automatically update stock values and these will be reflected in your POS Inventory table.

Naturally sales of each item, processed by POS, will reduce the stock item automatically.

TRACKING AND REPORTING STOCK COUNTS

The system is continuously tracking your stock changes and you can review these within Activity Log of each POS item. Click the pencil icon next to the desired item to open the Edit Product pop up window > Select Activity Log tab. Here you will see a detailed list of adjustments made, including date, time, reason, who made the adjustment and the resulting Adjusted Running Balance.

REPORTING ON YOUR POS INVENTORY

Navigate to the Reports tab from the top menu on your Dashboard home screen. Select the Inventory category and then select Current Inventory report.

This report comes with Filters for Product Category, (product) Name, SKU, Barcode, Variable Name and Supplier
