We’ve made significant improvements to our Net Revenue reports to ensure clearer visibility of disputed payments and adjustments for more accurate financial reporting. Here’s what’s new:
What's New
- Full Visibility of Disputed Payments:
- Original Payment Visibility: Payments remain recorded on their original date, even if a dispute is initiated. Previously, disputed items were removed, but they now stay visible in the Net Revenue report with the status "Revenue."
- New Dispute Line Items:
- When a payment is disputed, a new line item will automatically be added to reflect the dispute amount as a negative entry, dated on the day the dispute is received. This helps track the exact revenue impact by showing the reversal amount directly within the report.
- If the business wins the dispute, another new line item will appear as a positive entry, dated when the dispute is resolved. This ensures full transparency on any recovered revenue.
- Enhanced Monthly Reporting Accuracy:
- These changes provide better month-over-month accounting by preserving the initial payment entries, while also adding clear, itemized adjustments for disputes and resolutions.
- All updates apply across the Net Revenue, All Transactions, and Processing Reports, as well as relevant dashboards.
This update aligns our revenue reporting with accurate accounting practices, helping business owners and finance teams confidently track revenue, disputes, and resolution outcomes.
