Overview

You can now see and filter by Transaction ID in the Failed Payments Report — even when a payment fails due to gateway errors like “Invalid Payment Request.” This gives your team better visibility into what went wrong and helps you take action faster.

Prerequisites

• Access to Core > Reports > Financial > Failed Payments Report

• Payments processed through a supported gateway

• Reporting or finance permissions enabled

Step-by-Step Instructions

Open the Failed Payments Report

• Go to Core > Reports > Financial

• Click on Failed Payments

View the new Transaction ID column

• Look for the Transaction ID column in each row

• This field captures processor-issued IDs — even for errors like “Invalid Payment Request,” if available

Export for Deeper Analysis

• Click Export Icon

• Open the file in Excel or Google Sheets

• Use the Transaction ID column to sort, group, or analyze payment failures

Troubleshooting / FAQs

Why is the Transaction ID field blank for some rows?

Some gateways don’t return an ID for every failure. If nothing is received, the system records a null (blank) value.

Can I see Transaction IDs for past failures?

No — Transaction IDs are only available for failed payments recorded after this feature was released.

Does every gateway support this?

Not all gateways return full details for every error. Results may vary based on your payment processor.
