Resend emails to leads who didn’t open them

Overview

Want to get more eyes on your email campaign? In Grow, you can resend a previously sent email to just the contacts who didn’t open it the first time. This is a smart way for fitness studios to improve email performance without spamming everyone twice.

This guide walks you through how to resend your broadcast to unopened contacts — all from the Email Builder.

Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure:

  • You sent your email using the Campaigns tool (not Automations)
  • You have Email Builder access in Grow

Important Note: Since Apple’s Mail Privacy Protection (MPP) rollout—can significantly skew your email marketing stats. When users open emails in the Apple Mail app, MPP preloads email content (including tracking pixels) even if the user never actually reads it. This inflates open rates, making them unreliable. As a result, marketers should shift focus toward engagement metrics like clicks and conversions rather than opens to get a clearer picture of campaign performance.


Step 1: Open the original email campaign

  1. Go to the Marketing tab on the left menu & Proceed to Emails

  2. Find the email campaign you want to resend & click the three dots next to it

  3. Select Resend email to Unopened

Tip: This option will only appear after 12 hours and be available for 10 days post send.


Step 2: Choose when to send the follow-up

  1. In the popup window you have two options

    • Subject Line — You can update your subject line to differ from the original email.

    • Schedule — set a specific time/date to resend

  2. Click Confirm to finish

Tip: You can only resend to unopened contacts once per campaign — so make it count.


Expected Outcome

Your email will be re-sent to only the contacts who didn’t open it the first time. No duplicates will be sent to those who already opened it.


Troubleshooting / FAQs

Q: Why don’t I see the ‘Resend to Unopened’ option?

A: Check that it’s been at least 12 hours since the original send. The option won’t show before then.

Q: Can I edit the email before resending?

A: No — the resend feature uses the exact same content as the original email.

Q: Will it resend to everyone?

A: No. Only contacts who didn’t open the original email will get this resend.
