Overview
Need to temporarily pause a client’s membership without canceling it? You can suspend a membership in CORE for a set time or indefinitely. This is useful for holidays, injuries, or other pause requests that don't require ending the client’s billing entirely.

Prerequisites
Before you begin:
- You must have admin or billing access to the client’s account
- The client must have an active membership
- Know the suspension start and end dates, if applicable
Step-by-step instructions
Step 1: Open the client’s membership
- Go to the Clients section
- Search for and select the client (e.g., Linda Jones)
- Scroll down to the Memberships section
- Click the eye icon 👁️ next to their active membership
Step 2: Update membership status to suspended
- In the Current Status section, click the pencil icon ✏️
- From the dropdown menu, select Suspended
- Choose your suspension start date:
- Immediately
- A future date
- Choose your suspension end date:
- Set a specific date, or
- Leave it blank for an indefinite suspension
- Click Update Status
✅ Tip: If no end date is set, the membership will remain suspended until you manually resume it.
Expected outcome
The client’s membership will be placed on hold. Billing and access will be paused based on the suspension dates you entered. Once the suspension ends, the membership will resume automatically — unless set to indefinite.
