Prerequisites
Before you begin:
- You must have admin or billing access
- The client must have an active membership
- Know your intended suspension duration and fee amount (if applicable)
Step-by-step instructions
Step 1: Open the client’s membership
- Go to the Clients section
- Search for and select the client (e.g. “Linda Jones”)
- You’ll land in the Payments tab — click on the Memberships section
- Click the eye icon 👁️ next to the Active membership
Step 2: Set the suspension details
- Click the pencil icon ✏️ next to Current Status
- From the dropdown, select Suspended
- Choose a start date (immediate or future)
- Choose an end date, or leave blank for no end date
Step 3: Add a suspension fee
- Under the Suspension Charges section, enter the desired amount:
- For example, $30 total for the suspension period
- Or make it recurring, e.g., $10 per week or $10 per month
- Confirm the frequency and amount
Step 4: Finalize the suspension
- Click Update Status
- The membership is now suspended with the fee applied according to the settings
✅ Tip: Recurring suspension fees help offset holding costs while keeping the client tied to the membership.
Expected outcome
The client’s membership will be suspended on the specified dates, and the system will automatically apply the one-time or recurring fee you selected.
