Overview
When you sell a membership or package in CORE, you can control how and when credits are allocated to the client. This is called a credit allocation schedule. It defines how many credits the client receives, how often, and when they start — perfect for memberships with limited sessions.
This article explains how credit allocation works, how to view it, and what your options are for managing credit timing and availability.

Prerequisites
Before you begin:
- The client must have an active membership or package with limited credits
- Know the desired start date and credit frequency for the allocation schedule
- Admin access to Client Files and Membership Setup is required
Step-by-step instructions
Step 1: View a client’s credit allocation schedule
- Click Clients from the top navigation
- Search for and open the client’s profile
- Go to the Memberships tab
- Click View History under the membership or package
You’ll see a schedule showing:
- The number of credits allocated (e.g. 5 per week)
- The frequency (e.g. weekly, monthly)
- The credit period start and end dates
Tip: If a membership is set to unlimited, this schedule will not appear — because there’s no allocation limit.
Step 2: Understand how allocation is set
Credit allocation is created when the membership or package is sold, based on:
-
The credit allocation frequency you define (e.g. 5 credits per week)
-
The start date of the allocation period
For example, if you sell a membership on March 3 but set the first credit allocation to begin March 4, the system will reflect that in the schedule
Step 3: Make adjustments (if needed)
While you can’t directly edit the credit allocation schedule, you have a few manual options:
- Use the Update Credits tool to:
- Add credits
- Remove credits
- Use the Change Validity Period option to adjust the timeframe during which the credits are valid
⚠️ Bulk editing of credit schedules is possible, but not from the individual client screen. Ask your admin or support if you need to apply changes across many members.
Expected Outcome
Once the membership is sold, CORE automatically allocates credits based on your setup. You’ll be able to track how many credits were assigned, when they activate, and when they expire — helping you manage member usage and class availability.
FAQs
Q: Can I change the credit schedule after it's created?
A: Not directly. You can only adjust individual credit counts or change the validity window.
Q: What happens if the activation date is in the future?
A: Credits will appear in the allocation schedule starting from that future date, not the sale date.
Q: Do unlimited memberships show allocation schedules?
A: No — these clients have open access and don't require allocation tracking.
