How to Edit a Client's Personal or Account Information

Overview

Need to update a client’s email, phone number, or payment details? This guide shows you how to quickly access a client’s profile and make updates to their personal or billing info.

Prerequisites

Before you begin:

  • You must have admin or staff access to the Clients section
  • The client must already exist in the system
  • If you need to change a client’s first or last name, you’ll need to contact support

Step-by-step instructions

Step 1: Find the client

  1. Go to the Clients section in the top navigation
  2. Use the search bar to find the client (e.g., “Alice Russell”)
  3. Click on the client’s name to open their profile


Step 2: Edit personal information

  1. In the Client Information tab, find the section showing the client’s email, phone, and other details
  2. Click the pencil icon ✏️ next to the information
  3. Edit fields such as:
    • Email address
    • Mobile number
    • Communication preferences
  4. Click Save when you're done

Note: To change the first name or last name, please contact [email protected] — this requires backend assistance.


Step 3: Update payment method

  1. On the same client profile page, look for the orange card icon labeled “View/Change Card”
  2. Click it, then select Edit
  3. Add or update either:
    • Credit Card
    • Bank Account
  4. Save the new details


Expected outcome

Your client’s contact and payment information will be updated instantly, ensuring accurate billing and communication going forward.

Q: Can clients edit this info themselves?

A: Clients can update some details via the app, but key updates like name changes and billing info are managed by staff.

Q: What if I can’t see the “View/Change Card” button?

A: Check your permission level or contact your admin to ensure your role has access to billing functions.

Q: Can I edit emergency contacts or custom fields too?

A: Yes — if your setup includes those fields, they will be editable from the Client Information tab.
