Overview
The Book-a-buddy feature lets two clients link their accounts so they can book classes for each other — either manually through CORE or independently via the branded app. It’s a great option for families, training partners, or members who regularly attend together.

Prerequisites
Before you begin:
- You must have admin access to CORE
- Clients must already be added to the system
- Book-a-buddy must be enabled in your configuration settings
Step-by-step instructions
Option 1: Connect clients manually in CORE
- Go to the Clients tab
- Open the first client’s profile
- Click on the Client Information tab
- Scroll to the Bookabuddy section and click the plus (+) icon
- Search for the buddy’s full email address (this is the easiest method)
- Click Search, select the correct client, and click Save
Once saved, the buddy connection will be visible on both client profiles.
✅ Tip: You only need to set it up from one client’s profile. The relationship auto-syncs.
Option 2: Clients link themselves in the app
- Clients open your branded app and log in
- Go to the More tab
- View existing Bookabuddy pairings or unpair if needed
- To add a new buddy:
- Go to Explore
- Find the session they want to book
- Tap the Book a Buddy icon
- Tap New to search and send a buddy request
Once accepted, both clients will be connected and can book for each other (if both have credits available).
Step 3: Enable or disable Bookabuddy in your settings
- Go to Account Settings > Configurations
- Scroll to the Bookabuddy section
- Click Edit, then toggle to Yes or No depending on whether you want it active
⚠️ Note: Bookabuddy is typically enabled by default, but you can turn it off if you don’t want to offer this option.
Expected outcome
Once set up, linked clients can book classes for each other using available credits — making it easy to train with a friend or family member. Admins can also manage buddy relationships directly from the client profile in CORE.
