Prerequisites
Before you begin:
- You must have admin access to your studio's profile
- Know how each team member should be paid (hourly, flat rate, or percentage)
- Staff must be assigned to classes or clocking time for hours to calculate
Step-by-step instructions
Step 1: Open payroll configuration settings
- Click your Studio Name at the top of CORE
- Select Edit Profile
- From the left-hand menu, click Payroll
Step 2: Configure pay types
You can set up different tiers based on how your staff is compensated:
- Group classes:
- Flat rate per class (e.g. $35)
- Flat rate + bonus
- Private sessions:
- Flat rate or percentage of session value
- Administrative staff:
- Hourly rate (e.g. $15/hour)
- Hours tracked via Time Clock
💡 This setup gives you flexibility to tailor pay structures for all roles.
Step 3: Assign staff to payroll tiers
- Create the appropriate pay tier(s)
- Assign instructors or admin staff to a tier based on their role
- Once assigned, the system will track class assignments and/or time clock entries
Step 4: Run your payroll report
- After a week (or pay period), run your Payroll Report
- You’ll get:
- Instructor name
- Classes taught
- Date and time of each session
- Hourly or flat rate
- Total due
✅ If any staff use the Time Clock feature, their total hours and pay will also appear on the report.
Expected outcome
At the end of each payroll cycle, you’ll be able to generate a clean, accurate report showing what each instructor or staff member earned — saving you time and preventing payroll errors.
