How to Book a Group Exercise Class for a Member

Overview

This article explains how to book a group exercise class for a member when they cannot book themselves via the app or web. This can be useful if a member calls in, visits the club, or asks for help after class. By following these steps, you can quickly add the member to the class directly from the Schedule in Core.

Prerequisites

  • Access to Core with permissions to manage classes and bookings
  • Member profile set up in Core
  • Scheduled class available for booking

Step 1: Access the Schedule in Core

  1. Log in to your Core account.
  2. Navigate to the Schedule tab in the dashboard.


Step 2: Find the Class

  1. Locate the class you want to book the member into by scrolling through the Schedule.
  2. Click on the class to open the session details.

Tip: You can use filters in the Schedule to quickly find the right class.


Step 3: Add the Client to the Class

  1. Click the Add Client button within the class details.

  1. Search for the client’s name, select them from the list, and add them to the class.
  1. The member is now booked into the session! 🎉

Expected Outcome

  • The member is successfully booked into the selected group exercise class.
  • Their booking appears in their profile and in the class roster.
  • The booking can be managed as usual (e.g., cancellations, no-shows).

FAQs

Can I book a client into a class after the session has started?

Yes, if your club allows for late bookings, you can still add the client.

What if the class is full?

You’ll see a warning if the class is at capacity. The system will not allow overbooking unless your configuration permits it.

Can I remove a client if they change their mind?

Absolutely! Go back to the class details, find the client’s name, and click the bin icon to cancel their booking.
