Overview

This guide walks you through how to create a Zap that connects directly to your Grow sub-account using an API key.
By setting up this connection, you can automate lead imports or other actions between systems without manual data entry.

Prerequisites

Before you start:

  • You’ll need an active Grow sub-account.

  • You must have a valid API key for that sub-account.

  • You’ll need a Zapier account to create the integration.

Set Up the Zap

1. Log in to Zapier

  1. Go to your Zapier account and click Create Zap.

  2. The Zap setup is split into two parts:

    • The top section is your trigger: this is where the data comes from.

    • The bottom section is the action: this is where the data is sent (in this case, your Grow sub-account).

2. Choose the Action Event

  1. In the action section, search for Grow and select it.

  2. From the Action Event dropdown, choose Add/Update Contact (for sending leads into your account).

Tip: If your Zap already has a Grow account connected, it will appear automatically. If not, you’ll connect it in the next step.

3. Connect Your Grow Account

  1. Click Connect a New Account.

  2. When prompted, enter your API key for the correct sub-account.

  3. Click Continue once the connection is successful.

Tip: Double-check you’re using the right API key as each sub-account has its own unique key.

4. Map the Fields

  1. Zapier will automatically display the available custom fields from your Grow sub-account (e.g., Active Package, Custom Tags, etc.).

  2. For most lead automations, you’ll only need to map the basics:

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Phone Number

    • Email Address

Tip: You can map additional custom fields if your form or CRM includes more data points.

5. Test and Activate Your Zap

  1. Click Continue, review the mapped fields, and select Test & Continue.

  2. If the test runs successfully, turn your Zap on.

Expected Outcome

After completing these steps:

  • Your Grow sub-account is connected to Zapier.

  • Leads will automatically sync into your Grow account whenever the Zap is triggered.

  • You’ll reduce manual entry and keep your lead data up to date.
